I am so proud of my team after the lottery win by Liverpool at Wembley yesterday. To a man they did there bit to advertise Cardiff City worldwide and would have help to win over a few more fans to the club.
Although I desperately wanted Cardiff to win, losing to penalties is the lesser of two evils, over 90 minutes they couldn’t beat the City or over 30 minutes of extra time, that left the lottery of penalties.
Form goes out the window when you line up for penalties. First, the manager has to find five players willing to take the pressure of taking one, not that easy as some players wilt into the background hoping not to catch the manager eye.
Not sure, what happen yesterday but Cardiff boss Malky Mackay looked confident giving this five to the ref while goalkeeper Tom Heaton was give last minute info on the Liverpool players.
I don’t know any football fan that is happy with penalties if your team are involved in them. It's great to watch if you are a neutral. The golden goal was tried, but it didn’t put an end to penalties and dropped in the end. Hopefully it is the end of penalties for this season think of the possibity of the play-offs.
The Carling Cup final is history, we enjoyed but now together we have to push forward to an automatic promotion place and promotion to the Premier League.
The West Ham game will be on the BBC lunch time Sunday and will the first of eight games in March, a busy time for Malky and the boys. It will be a make or break month for Cardiff,
