CARDIFF City boss Malky Mackay has dipped his toe in the loans transfer market and as come up with Newcastle United teenager Haris Vuckic. He is set to join Cardiff City on an initial one-month loan with will begin as of tomorrow and last until just after the Bristol City away game.
The 19-year-old midfielder, who has made five appearances for the Newcastle this season and is highly rate by the North East club, On joining them in January 2009, for a reported substantial fee he, signed a three and a half year deal.
It will be the players first loan releases since joining Newcastle and should travel with the squad to Leicester City for Saturday’s game. Could he make the bench at Leicester? We will have to wait on the Cardiff boss.
He made his debut not long after joining the club for a few minutes at the end Carling Cup game against Huddersfield (2009). He made his first start later in the season in the same competition. He made his league against debut just before Christmas in the 3-2 defeat against West Brom.
Vuckic is a Slovenian Under-21 international working his way through the under 17 and 19’s to the under 21’s were he has played four times scoring one goal. He had the call to join the senior’s squad of 23 but fail to make the match day squad.
