CARDIFF CITY were rumoured to be link with St Johnstone striker Francisco Sandaza, but that was poo-poo by Cardiff City boss Malky MacKay who said recently all rumour about interest in players way off the mark, but for Craig Noone.
Sandaza was expected to signing a pre-contract offer from Rangers but he rejected it leaving the field open to any other offer. It is reported north of the border that the rumoured interest from Cardiff and West Brom has drailed the deal. The 27-year-old striker has scored 13 goals in a total of 18 League/Cup games so far this season.
St Johnstone boss Steve Lomas said “Fran has told me he won’t be signing a pre-contract agreement with Rangers and I think that is the right call. I take the lad at face value. He isn’t stupid.”
He will be a free agent come the summer.
