According to the ‘Mail on Sunday’ Cardiff City are keen on St Johnstone striker Francisco Sandaza although I cannot find one word linking them both together other than the piece in the Mail.
The main part of this story is that Rangers are close to tying up a possible pre-contract agreement with the player who is out of contract in the summer. Along with the Bluebirds, West Brom is another club said to be interested in the Spainish striker. The has talked with Rangers and everything like wages have been agreed, however until he signing a contract it is open season for those interested.
Sandaza agent has had conversations with clubs in Scotland, England, Spain and the United States according to him, but anticipates a move at the end of the season is more likely than a transfer during the current winter window.
A striker is top of Cardiff City boss Malky MacKay who has players in mind saying before new year
“January is a sellers market and there will be players moving for astronomical sums.
“We have to do our business prudently and we know exactly what we want to do. “If our targets become available, we will move quickly.”
A reported £300,000 price tag on Sandaza seems cheap for a player who has scored 12 goals in 18 games.
