CARDIFF CITY salvaged two points with a late, late, goal at the Cardiff City Stadium this afternoon against Portsmouth. The Bluebirds stay in third place in the Championship league table after Kenny Miller opened the scoring.
The visitors then squared the game just before half time against the run of play with Cardiff missing a number of chances.
Cardiff were to find themselves a goal behind not long after the kick-off which the managed to keep for around 20 minute under pressure for the home side.
However, the goal had to come and defender Mark Hudson was on hand to head home at close range.
Chances slipped the Bluebirds by as the clock ticked down to full time; the home team was creating most of the pressure. The ref then singled three minutes of injury time, but a lot can happen in three minutes.
You can score a goal and today Cardiff did just that when Craig Conway fired home the ball from inside the penalty area into the bottom right corner of the goal, 3-2 Cardiff. So Cardiff bank three points, stay third and wait on the outcome of the Monday night game when Leicester travel to second place Southampton.
