Cardiff City got a bit of business sorted today with captain Mark Hudson signing a new two-year deal with the club. The Cardiff defender joined the Bluebirds back in July 2009 in a £1.075 deal from Crystal Palace.
Since signing, he has been near ever present in the starting line-up playing just over a 100 league and cup games with four goals. During that time, he has only made three starts from the bench. He became captain after then manager Dave Jones striped Joe Ledley of the captaincy because the well documented contract dispute at the time. He lost the captaincy on the arrival of Craig Bellamy, but new manager Malky MacKay reinstated it at the start of this season.
