Tonight on the official Cardiff City website it was announced at the City have terminated the contract of Hungarian international Gabor Gyepes by mutual consent.
Gyepes only played 74 times for Cardiff in nearly three and a half years with the club and this season only twice in the early around of the Carling Cup.
He joined the Bluebirds from Northampton in August 2008 for approximately £200,000, but was never able to cement a place in Dave Jones defence.
Many fans expected him to go out on loan this season with is contract due to expire in the summer when he was expected to be release. The 30-year-old centre-back is now free to find a new club with the loan window days away from opening.
From the official website, "The club would like to place on record its appreciation and best wishes to Gabor.”
