WITH talk of a possible three players coming in this week the South Wales Echo have this afternoon name one of the targets has Blackpool winger Matt Phillips.
Cardiff City is reported to have had one bid turned down and have gone back with a better offer. The rumour of the interest is coming out of the North West according to the paper.
A number of clubs have been linked with the 20-year-old who has played 25 games this season including seven games on loan with Sheffield United scoring seven. For Blackpool, he has played 18 games with a goal tally of seven of which he scored two hat-tricks.
Phillips start is career with Wycombe Wanderers at the age of eight working his way to a league debut in April 2008. He went on to feature in a total of 87 games score just nine goals. He joined Blackpool last season for initial £350,000 that with add-ons rising to £700,000.
