I do know my spelling, grammar and punctuation is CRAP. I put it down to my lack of schooling preferring to mitch (truanting from school) rather than go to school. The joke is firmly on me now, which will bring a smile to any of my old English teachers.

Cardiff linked to Scottish winger

News from Scotland is that Cardiff City and manager Malky MacKay are eying Hearts winger David Templeton. News on MacKay interest in Brighton’s Craig Noone has drifted off the back pages into the twilight zone so it is about time a new name was thrown into the transfer rumour mill.

The article in the Scottish Sun (why no Wales edition) suggest the Welshman plan to take advantage of the SPL clubs financial position. Cardiff have had the player watched for a while if the reports are correct and will have someone watch on Saturday up in Scotland. Cardiff is not the only club showing interest in the player a host of other club and watching the situation.

Hearts are adamant they want to keep all their players while wanting to reduce their wage bill a bit of a contradiction, can both be facilitated something will have to give. Templeton is under contract until the summer of 2013 meaning any transfer fee would be more than if his contract was running out.

Hearts have made it clear there will be no fire sale or cheap deals if any player goes. As for the Hearts winger, he is a key member of the team that they don’t want to sell. If MacKay were to praise him from Hearts, he would not be short of Scottish company at McCardiff with Kenny Miller, David Marshall, Don Cowie, Craig Conway, Kevin McNaughton and Paul Quinn members of the growing Socttish connection at the club.
