No resting on their laurels for Cardiff City because tomorrow they have a
mid-week fixture at the Cardiff City Stadium. Brighton are the visitor who themselves
have started the season with a 100% record.
Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay will have to make one change to the
starting line up from the Bristol City game. The Cardiff boss confirmed that at
this morning press conformance that midfielder Aron Gunnarsson twisted his
ankle early in the first half in the win over Bristol City on Sunday and will
be out for a week.
That could leave the door open for Joe Mason who pulled in a sterling
performance on Sunday coming on for the injured Gunnarsson. He was Man of the
Match and I cannot see many Cardiff City not expecting him to start tomorrow
night.
That the press conformance Mackay talked about bringing in new players
and the fact that some of his targets especially free transfers have moved on
and found other clubs. He is still on the lookout for new blood be it players
on free transfers, loans and if the price is right cash transfers has he feels
his squad are way down on numbers to mount a challenge.
