According to the Sun newspaper, Cardiff City player Craig Bellamy with attack outside a nightclub early Sunday morning while out with friends.
It is known why the player was attack but an onlooker said he was asked for an autograph then challenged to a bizarre sprint race?
The paper is suggesting he was ambushed by five man on leave the club after trading blows he managed to jump into a near by taxi. A source at Cardiff City confirmed Bellamy was hit in the fracas and is sporting bruising on his forehead.
Friends of Bellamy became involved has they were leaving the nightclub with Police confirming two men were injured Police have appealed for witnesses.
