First round proper of the FA Cup this weekend and the trail has lead to Brighton who was taking on Woking my next link in the chain to the final in May.
Woking FC, have some pedigree in giant killing in the past seeing off West Bromwich Albion. Beat Brighton would not be the greatest of giant killing but a route to a possible gold mine of the third round. To reach this round they beat Eastleigh 3-2 for the joys of the seaside with a visit to Brighton.
By all reports the game was pity poor and it end after 90 minutes 0-0 meaning both were in today’s second round draw. Whoever wins the replay will face a home game against FC United of Manchester.
The FA Cup has thrown up a interesting fixture if AFC Wimbledon and MK Dons can win there replays a first ever meeting between the two clubs. Both clubs were born out of the old Wimbledon MK Dons known to fans around the country as Franchise F.C move out to Milton Keynes. The anti-move fans formed they own club AFC Wimbledon steadily climb-up the leagues to now just one promotion form the Football League.
