Cardiff City boss Dave Jones as loaned out another of his squad today, Solomon Taiwo is going back to is old club Dagenham & Redbridge until the end of the season, subject to international clearance which should not be a problem.
Taiwo has had very few chances to shine since joining the Bluebirds at the being of last season. He played for Dagenham & Redbridge against Cardiff last season in the Carling Cup and caught the eye of boss Dave Jones and within a few weeks he was signed. He signed a three-year deal for a fee which could eventually rise to £250,000 depending on appearances and promotion. Very unlikely Cardiff played enough games for the Division One club receive the initial signing on fee.
He made two starts in eight games played and was regular on the bench but unused. He was near on his way to Norwich in the summer for a fee of 150k, however the move later collapsed after he failed a medical.
The Daggers boss John Still said:
"Sol was a terrific player for us here before he was sold and has enjoyed his time at Cardiff, but one or two injuries has left him a touch behind.
"We're hoping he can come back here and perform in the manner that he was and that he can help us push on and collect a few more points.”
