Jones is believed to be one of the favourites to take over from Gordon Strachan has Chairman Steve Gibson’s looks for a new boss. The report in the paper is suggesting the Cardiff boss has strong support within the boardroom at the Riverside stadium.

You can say Jones is steady, a builder and over the six year with Cardiff he as found some gems to sign but had to sell a few good ones to balance the books at the end of the season. However, even with the selling and the lack of cash he has built teams strong enough to complete at the top of the Championship, and just to add a Wembley FA Cup final.
