The January transfer window is a while away but the rumour mill is always open for business. There is a rumour that Fulham and Liverpool are interested in a number of Dave Jones squad.
The interest is said to be in 'man of the moment' Jay Bothroyd, the Cardiff striker as hit a fine vain of form for Jones and he is the club's top scorer and league top score aswell and has won a host of plaudits over his performances.
The source for the rumour is the ‘Metro.co.uk’ the only news outlet carrying the story and I bet even Dave Jones had a chuckle when he heard about it. Bothroyd has been a lynch pin for Dave Jones and is on his best form since joining the Bluebirds from Wolves. He will be out of contract in the summer and could walk out of the club for free. He said at the start of the season he won't talk about a new contract but concentrate on his football. However it is believe his agent is talks with the club and they are hopefull he will sign.
According to the story Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson is preparing a bid January for Bothroyd for an unknown figure and goal shy Fulham are said to be interested. There could be a bit of mileage it the Fulham story, boss Mark Hughes is on the lookout for a striker and has money to spend in January but time will tell where he will look.
