| New signing??? |
Looks like Cardiff City boss Dave Jones has added to his squad by finally signing left-back Chris Riggott, although there has been no official word from the club. Both the BBC and Sky are reporting the deal has done after he passed a "rigorous" fitness test. Like with a number of other signing Jones put the lack of a pre-season to the lack of fitness with was not help with the transfer embargo at the time.
The former Middlesbrough defender has had some injury issues over the past few seasons and Cardiff wanted to make sure he was up to the rigors of a Championship season. It is thought he is not yet fully match fit so could be a bit off a debut with the Bluebirds.
Riggott is joining has a free agent he cost Middlesbrough £2million from Derby way back in 2003 becoming a regular and a fans favourite. He was offer a new contract with the North East club, but decided to move on.
