Rumour has it that a new signing will happen today, maybe tomorrow when Chris Riggott finally puts pen to paper and signs for the Bluebirds.
Cardiff City boss Dave Jones has had Riggott on trial for some time and Jones even organised a friendly against Llanelli to run an eye over the left-back. According to sources there was a bit of a hiccup over the offer which is now settled clearing the way to join the City.
The 29-year-old was out off contract at his previous club Middlesbrough where he had been for seven years. He was offer a new contract before deciding to leave.
He has been plagued by injuries in recent years with Dave Jones asking for him to have a thorough medical by the clubs doctors.
Cardiff manager Dave Jones said:
"We've agreed contracts with Chris and his agent.
"It's now [about] putting him through a rigorous medical."
"Don't forget, he's missed a lot of pre-season like a lot of our players that we've brought in late.
"So he'll be similar with what we did with Jason [Koumas]. He will need a really good blow-out for quite a few weeks, but once we get him in and everything else full-time, then we can do all that."
No official statement to date on the player.
