Cardiff City striker Michael Chopra had to have an x-ray on his ankle injury picked up against Doncaster on Saturday. Allow there has been nothing official from the club the striker could be out for at least two weeks with suspected ankle ligament damage. It comes at a time at Ipswich are believe to be upping their interest in trying secure a transfer deal, but it is highly unlikely City boss Dave Jones would not be interest.
Earlier in the game Jones had lost Kevin McNaughton to a hamstring injury that gave Lee Naylor is debut sooner than expected. He had only signed on Friday as a free agent from Celtic with no game to back him, but for the training. Naylor put in a performance that show why the City boss was so eager to sign him up.
Jones had some bad luck before the game Saturday when in the warm up Darcy Blake rolled is ankle and the damaged forced some late changes. Blake loss was Adam Matthews gain as he moved up from the bench to the starting line-up.
