The Welsh Cup got underway over the weekend, while over the border in England the Preliminary Round of the FA Cup kicked-off. Looking for a team to track for this season I fancy a team with an odd name, so I plumed for Odd Down AFC, a team I nothing about them.
Odd Down plays in the Toolstation League, Division Premier and a based not too far from Bath.
They drew 1-1 against Verwood Town and the replay is on this Wednesday with the winners away to either St Blazey v Torpoint Athletic on 28th Aug. There was disappointment for the only Welsh team in this round Merthyr Town they lost 2-0.
