McCormack's agent and Ipswich have talked

Was last night’s a two goal thank you and a parting shot or a taste of things to come? Leaving the pitch last night some fans felt has if he was make an emotional farewell to the fans. He gave his shirt to a fan which is kind of unusual and clapped the fans with what some extra vigour.

Asked about McCormack and Ipswich City boss Dave Jones said,

“I’ll talk about players when things are rubber-stamped and not before.

“While they’re here they are Cardiff City players.”

But over night things have taken a bit of a twist with Wigan saying they have expected a bid for Jason Scotland for Ipswich. Allow there a report number of other teams who are also interested in the ex-Swansea City player. Wigan manager Roberto Martinez is now waiting on Scotland who will make a decision in the next 24 hours about his future. The deal is worth a reported £750,000 to Wigan who paid £2million to take him away from Swansea.

Will that now be enough for Ipswich boss Roy Keane to end the chase for the Cardiff striker or will his interest continue? With the speculation that Cardiff could be open to offer Sky Sports News is reporting that other clubs are now casting an eye towards McCormack.

The Scottish international agent Willie McKay told skysports.com

"I have spoken to Ipswich chief executive Simon Clegg about Ross and we are now waiting for Ipswich to make a formal offer to Cardiff.

"Once that happens and an offer is accepted we will discuss personal terms with Ipswich.

"However, there are a four or five others clubs also chasing Ross and we will see offers come in for him."
