The Craig Bellamy business at Cardiff City as taken up the column inches today but there were a bits and pieces of other news. The Bluebirds have been linked with a number of rumours in the press today involving players coming in or going out.
The Hull Daily Mail has Ross McCormack moving to Hull City in a swap deal for Hull striker Daniel Cousin coming the other way. The paper is reporting that McCormack has agreed terms with the deal now resting on the decision of Cousin.
Middlesbrough are rumoured to be tracking Cardiff City hot shot Peter Whittingham after a poor start of the season. During the summer Middlesbrough were the Championship big spenders in the transfer market. City boss Dave Jones rates Whittingham highly, and has a valuation of £3million on the head, which has seen off Burnley and Nottingham Forest who have chance there arm.
It just so happens that the Cardiff is linked with one of Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan players. The South Wales Echo is linking Jones with Middlesbrough centre-half Chris Riggott who is still a free agent, another swap deal?
Over the last few weeks left-back Lee Naylor has been linked with the Bluebirds and according to reports has train at Cardiff. He was release by Celtic at the end of last season and is keeping fit by training with his old club Wolves.
It can be a funny old world sometimes but the last of the players linked with Cardiff is Wolves striker Andrew Keogh on a possible loan deal, who is also linked with Bristol City.
