Loovens wants to stay with Celtic

Unlikely to happen?

Cardiff City could be keen on bring defender Glenn Loovens back to Cardiff but the player himself is not to keen form reports out of Scotland. Cardiff City has confirmed some interest but there has been no formal approach.

“There has been no formal approach and, for anything that might happen, we would speak to Celtic first,” Cardiff’s chief executive Gethin Jenkins told the Daily Mail.

This agent Roger Linse has told the press that Loovens is more than happy at Celtic and wants to stay and for his place in the team. Like at Cardiff new signings has made competition for spots more interesting.

Loovens still has two years of his contract left with Celtic, he missed Sundays home win against St Mirren with an injury. Since leaving Cardiff City to join Celtic for £2.5million he has been a first team regular until last season where injury saw him miss a fair chuck of the season.
