I do know my spelling, grammar and punctuation is CRAP. I put it down to my lack of schooling preferring to mitch (truanting from school) rather than go to school. The joke is firmly on me now, which will bring a smile to any of my old English teachers.

The key is stability

The season is underway and the club got the transfer embargo lifted with a few days to go so everyone conceded with Cardiff City are happy. Boss Dave Jones was then able to register players in waiting, goalkeeper Tom Heaton and midfielder Danny Drinkwater who both should be in the squad for the Sheffield United game today.

Has for Jason Koumas he is reported to be carrying a slight knock and is on match fit he could be ready for the away trip to Derby next Saturday. Dave Jones could have a bit of a busy week coming up after today’s game.

There is the matter of a Carling Cup game with Division Two club Burton Albion on Wednesday, the same day Cardiff are back in court and he is still on the search for loan/free signings to boost his squad. Jones will be hoping that the club will not be hit with a third embargo but that is in the hands of chief executive Gethin Jenkins and the board.

Jenkins said:
The Chief

"It's taken us a while to work through the problems and because of the historical cashflow issues we've faced, we will have to face further challenges.

"We want to get this club on to a strong commercial and financial footing. Then hopefully we can grow the team and grow the business. The answer is not just to come in and write cheques. Dave has a great track record in identifying players. Plus he's incredibly hard-working and passionate."

The key to keep the Football League away is to keep the club on an even financial keel and paying bills on time. No chasing dreams like Hammam and Ridsdale the Premiership is going nowhere soon. This season, next season it will happen when it happens but staying in the Championship is most important.
