The draw for the third round of the Carling Cup took place today and we were not in it owing to defeat at Peterborough in midweek.

With the so call big boys joining in the fun there was a chance of a big pay day for a lucky club, gate receipts and TV money and there are other money streams to cash in on, if you survive the second round.

We didn’t, Peterborough did but no big payday for them, it would have been if we had won, they have Swansea at home. A home game at the Cardiff City Stadium would have meant a full house and the possibility of Sky Sports picking the game up, a tidy payday.
