Cardiff City left it late to finish off Division 2 club Burton Albion tonight at the Cardiff City Stadium. Cardiff opened the scoring with Jay Bothroyd but Burton hit back almost immediately to silence the spas crowd of 6,080.
The night could turn out to be costly for boss Dave Jones as both Bothroyd and Matthews when off with knocks. Has the game when on, it looked to be heading for extra-time or even penalties. The first half of extra-time didn’t change the feeling the game would be decided on the penalty spot but how things can change.
On the start of the final half of extra-time it turned into a goal fest, with a lot of the crowd giving up and head out of the stadium Ross McCormack made it 2-1. It was not long before he made it 3-1 and that was not the end, Michael Chopra finish the night off by making 4-1, what a night
