Bluebirds legend Brian Clark dies

That Goal
He was a Bristol lad how became a hero on this side of the bridge to legions of Cardiff City fans. He will be remmeberfamous for more than ‘that’ goal. He was a gent in football and score many more inportant goals for the Bluebirds But that goal against Real Midrid that night was sweet and what a night.

He joined Cardiff from Huddersfield for £8.000 he scored twice on his debut during a 4-3 win over Derby County. His partnership with John Toshack was very fruitful for the club and when Toshack moved to Liverpool, in came Alan Warboys.

In 1972 he was sold in a deal that saw him and Ian Gibson going to Bournemouth for a combined fee of £100,000. He was to return and helped the Bluebirds to promotion in to Division Two.He was a regular visit Ninian Park and the new Cardiff City Stadium after his retirement and was always happy to stop and chat to fans.
