I do know my spelling, grammar and punctuation is CRAP. I put it down to my lack of schooling preferring to mitch (truanting from school) rather than go to school. The joke is firmly on me now, which will bring a smile to any of my old English teachers.

Bellamy has a big family to look after

Still on a bit of a high from yesterday and the whole Craig Bellamy bandwagon rolling into town. Some fans are talking about promotion and champions and Bellamy is yet to kick a ball for Cardiff City, time is needed for the dust to settle. IT has to be automatic promotion and no excuses now.

If we don’t make promotion will it be cast as a Bellamy failure or a team failure?

The pressure is squarely on him to show his form of last season but can he? He is playing with a different class of player and that is no disrespect to the Cardiff squad. Take Chelsea in the FA Cup last season even with the Cardiff players up for the game, but a footballing lesson was handed out to the City.

On paper looking at the squad at the disposal Cardiff manager Dave Jones is should send shivers down the back of any of his counterparts in the Championship. Some already question how Cardiff could pull such a deal in their financial position. Yes Manchester are paying a percentage of his wages and the loin share but it is not like it’s not be do before, the differences this time is the amount involved.

On the Cardiff side the Malaysian investors came good, allowing the deal to go through and helping with extra funds being made available. The deal is being kept private but Bellamy told the press conference yesterday he would not lose a penny in wages over the deal. It is not stopping the press making a concerted effort to find out. The range of their guessing what Cardiff could be paying is from £15,000 to £45,000. The Sun are say that Cardiff are paying half of Bellamy reported £90,000 a-week wage packet.

Manchester City have agreed to keep pay his image rights payments which he uses to fund his the press Bellamy speaking on the subject of money said:

“Was I willing to sacrifice money? No.
“You would have to speak to Manchester City about the details.
“It is not true I have given up image rights payments. I have a foundation in Africa and my image rights pay for that. It is very important.
“I have a responsibility to 61 kids who need me day-in and day-out to live basically off that.
“Manchester City understand that completely and that wasn’t a problem.”
