| Not coming |
I am no fan of our ex-chairman I fell he run the club badly and was forever making stupid statements one being ‘Bigger than Barcelona’. He was too easy lead by the group of fans that were surrounding him believing the hype of Welshness and everything Wales when in should have been about Cardiff City. Why did he see the need to sit in the dugout when his job has chairman was entertain.
It would be remarkable if he was to rise from the ash but this time it looks like he will be back as a board member working alongside new chairman Dato Chan Tien Ghee. The South Wales Echo is reporting the two man plan to meet within the next 10 days so will it be the catalyst for return of the Lebanese businessman?
One of the major reason is story could be the fact the paper as talked to him and got some quotes,
“TG and Sam working together – that’s a dream team for Cardiff City, I promise you.It must be said Annis Abraham Jnr via his messageboard have been champing the return of Hammam more than anyone but for every fans who will support his return there are maybe more who would wish he would stay away from the club.
“The Bluebirds will be back to their best.
“I don’t want to be involved on the financial side – that’s where I made my mistakes.
“But I can put the football back into City. I have the contacts needed.”
Sam is reported to be concerned over the lack of funds to strengthen the squad and failed to tie down key players out of contract next summer. It’s been reported recently that there is no plans to bring in any new signings except for keeper Tom Heaton. Hammam siad,
“We have to move quickly.
“The work done at this stage decides what happens at the end. There is no time to waste.
“Cardiff City will always be close to my heart and I would do anything I can to help.”
A group of fans have met with the former chairman at is London home the famous ‘Inner Circle’ a group of fans close to him.
But all this talk But all this talk of Sam and his return could be a premature has the club have had an official announcement that there are NO plans for Sam Hammam returning in any capacity to Cardiff City.
