I do know my spelling, grammar and punctuation is CRAP. I put it down to my lack of schooling preferring to mitch (truanting from school) rather than go to school. The joke is firmly on me now, which will bring a smile to any of my old English teachers.

The return of the Hammam - could it happen

Can he return?
A meeting did take place yesterday to discuss the Langston which has been confirmed on the official Cardiff City website. That the meeting was Cardiff chairman Dato Chan Tien Ghee along with Director Alan Whiteley representing the club and Sam Hammam. Also at the meeting was Peter Ridsdale in his consultancy role with the Bluebirds.

The meeting was to talk about the Langston deal and there was a statement released by the club,

The Statement

“Cardiff City FC can confirm that a meeting between chairman Dato Chan Tien Ghee and director Alan Whiteley took place yesterday with Sam Hammam to discuss the Langston debt and agreement.

“It is confirmed that the meeting was cordial and that the position regarding the debt and obligations remains the same.”
So what to make of that, the previously agreement Langston was to pay monthly instalments, with the first payment scheduled for January. It was rumoured some payments was missed earlier in the year but then brought up to date by the Malaysians.

However the South Wales Echo are saying there are two option on the table, pay the full £10million at the end of the year or stick with the instalments in return for Hammam coming back on board at the club in a footballing capacity only.

Dato Chan Tien Ghee is reported to be considering what he heard and will probably have talks with Vincent Tan in Malaysia who is the main money man in the Malaysian group. If he asks his colleagues on the Cardiff City board, he could get a big no to block any attempt of his return.

Hammam is believed to be offering some investment if he was to join the board, and with the lack of money it could be hard to turn down. Maybe there will be a return from Sam Hammam it would go down well with some fans but more will be unhappy however there is unlikely to be protests outside the ground. I am not in his fan club, but I care to much for Cardiff City Football Club to want the best for the club.
