I do know my spelling, grammar and punctuation is CRAP. I put it down to my lack of schooling preferring to mitch (truanting from school) rather than go to school. The joke is firmly on me now, which will bring a smile to any of my old English teachers.

Nottingham Forest uping the chase for Whittingham

Whiittingham Forest bound
Press reports are suggesting Cardiff have received a written offer for Peter Whittingham from Nottingham Forest. Reported locally and in the national press a £1.5million offer is on the table, lower than the reported £2millon offer from a few weeks ago.

With the finance position of the club, transfer embargo and the fact Whittingham only has one year left on his contract, could the Nottingham club be chancing their arm. The City has valued their star midfielder over £2million and has not been mined to sell despite all the rumours. The Malaysian backers seem to want to hold the squad together, there was little there could do about Joe Ledley but they are backing manager Dave Jones who wants to add to his squad.

A formal bid will test the determination of the club to withstand it and carry on negotiating a new contract with Whittingham. No-one wants to see another Ledley in the making. City can little afford to see players with a value walk away for nothing.

If Whittingham or any other do not sign new contract soon they agents will be advising their clients to way until the January transfer window. In January players who have not signed a new contract can talk to other clubs.

Forest might not be alone in the chase for Whittingham if City show any interest in parting with him, Burnley are also in the market for him having had a similar offer knocked back.
