There was a rumour on a Stoke unofficial messageboard that Joe Ledley had signed and there was to be a press conference to introduce him. However in today’s Daily Record in Scotland they are claiming he was back in Scotland talking to Celtic yesterday.
He did venture for talks in Glasgow club over three weeks ago and did the tour and look for a minute like he was going to sign. That was until Stoke City boss Tony Pulis jumped in and offered a four-year deal worth £20,000 a week according to press reports.
There only seem to be three clubs in the running Stoke and West Brom who would give him Premiership he has always claim he wanted or Celtic. He has promised to sort out is future this week he has had long enough to think it over. We all know what happens if he chooses Celtic and Scotland for his new home, Cardiff don’t get a penny in compensation.
The Celtic boss looks to be just determined as his counterpart at Stoke to sign the Welsh international, with pre-season training starting both managers would be hoping for a swift end to the race. West Brom are linked with wanting a place at the table.
