I do know my spelling, grammar and punctuation is CRAP. I put it down to my lack of schooling preferring to mitch (truanting from school) rather than go to school. The joke is firmly on me now, which will bring a smile to any of my old English teachers.

Ledley deal any closer

The Joe Ledley story is continuing with no completion in sight. Stoke City look to be in the driver seat for his signature but the deal is getting a bit complicated.

Although Ledley is no long a Cardiff City player Stoke are still talking to Cardiff in the hope of doing a deal ahead of a transfer tribunal. Stoke boss Tony Pulis is reported to now be offering a two player exchange with the players rumoured to be centre-forward Dave Kitson and midfield player Michael Tonge but it is unlikely the Cardiff boss or the board would be interested and hold out for a cash payment.

Unless Stoke decide to talk cash it looks likely the deal will go down the compensation route. Ledley as held talks and visited the Britannia Stadium and training ground with the chairman confirming,

“Our manager is leading the way in talks over Ledley.”

Pulis could decide to pull out of the deal which would leave Ledley in limbo but after a two year chase for the Welsh international would he drop his interest for a few million pounds after making a £6million but then.

Cardiff are hoping if the deal goes to compensation to receive up to £3million but these transfer tribunal don’t always come up with the goods. Recently Manchester United and Burnley have call to go before the tribunal over a player. Young defender Richard Eckersley turned down a new contract with United in favour of a move to Burnley. The Manchester club wanted a million plus for their player with the tribunal judgement coming out with £500,000 plus add-ons, making Burnley happy.
