If Cardiff City owes you money please stand-up

With Cardiff City chief executive Gethin Jenkins working away to sort out the transfer embargo more trouble hits his table. The club owe money on the Paul Quinn deal and Motherwell today have issued an official statement with could put pay to them plans.

The Statement

“The Board have been very patient with Cardiff given the financial pressures they have faced and the need for clubs to work together to ensure we can all navigate an extremely testing financial environment for the game.

“However the interests of our shareholders, employees and fans are being jeopardised by the failure of Cardiff City to pay the debt that they have outstanding.

We have made clear to the Board of Cardiff that we are left with no option but to pursue every possible avenue of recourse to secure our own club's interests. We hope that this matter can be resolved in an orderly manner.”
Cardiff are in the dock for owing Charlton £500,000 for Mark Hudson transfer last summer and now fans find out money is owed to Motherwell for Cardiff transfer of Paul Quinn. Fans were hoping to hear good news at the transfer embargo was over and the club could bring in new faces. The fee for the Scottish defender was believed to be a reported £300,000 and he was soon sideline losing his spot and dropping down the pecking order.
