Ex- Cardiff City Warren Feeney could have found somewhere to park is boots. After speculation he could be heading for the big smoke and London club Charlton he could be heading north.
He is been linked with a move to Division One club Oldham Athletic.
He was close to signing for Bristol Rovers but according to press reports his agent turned their offer down. Carlisle United was also interested but it came to nothing.
According to reports the Northern Ireland striker will be offer a two-year deal and will have a medical on Monday. Feeney looks to be up for the challenge of Oldham’s Boundary Park which is known as being the coldest ground in the Football League which earns it the nickname ‘Ice Station Zebra’. Feeney said,
"I spoke to other clubs but after I talked with Paul (Dickov) and Gerry (Taggart) there was only one winner - I want to play my football here.”
Of the five main players release by Dave Jones at the end of the season Peter Enckelman Aaron Morris Tony Capaldi and Warren Feeney so far only Josh Magennis as found a club Aberdeen.
