Speaking to Sky Sports News Cardiff striker Michael Chopra has backtracked slightly on the claim he had about want to leave the Bluebirds. He is now more disappointed in the lack of activity in the transfer market like ever Cardiff City fan.
When asked if he would be kicking off the season as a Cardiff City player,
"You'll have to ask the manager that, and the chairman. The fact that only two new players have been added to the squad, Manchester United duo Tom Heaton and Daniel Drinkwater only goalkeeper Heaton can kick-off the season todate. Midfielder Drinkwater was signed during the transfer embargo and cannot play competitive games until the embargo is lifted.
"I probably will be, yeah."
"It's just disappointing. I got told at the time there'd be players coming in and things like that.
"When things don't happen, it's like every other person, if things don't happen, you get disappointed.
"As a professional footballer and a person that's got high standards, I'm disappointed at what's happened at the minute.
"But I'm still a Cardiff City player and I'll continue to play well for them."
That does not help clear up what the mood of the rest of the squad is like with the season getting ever closer.

Michael Chopra is absolutely right. He is entitled to be disgruntled as are the supporters who were mislead totally when purchasing their season tickets. The quality of management has been poor and the implication now is that the new owners do not know what they have taken on. One can only hope that they have very deep pockets.
