| Any picking here lads |
Just a sniff of a player reportedly upset with his lot is a sure fire to bring up transfer rumour, and when Cardiff striker Michael Chopra speaking the local press said,
“I’m well hacked off.
“If this club doesn’t bring in new players, I’m off.
you can bet somewhere there is a manger checking his phone book for an agent. Of course his words were refuted later that day, however, it did not stop a few managers rushing to their chairman asking for the cheque book.
Ipswich Town are rumoured to back in the market for the Cardiff striker after a reported knock back earlier in the summer with a rumour £3.75million bid turned away. The Ipswich boss Roy Keane is a long time fan of Chopra having already paid Cardiff £5million to take him to Sunderland when he managed there. He would like to sign him again but the Bluebirds have a valuation
Keane must be hoping all the financial problems surrounding the Bluebirds could loosen their hold on Chopra but Cardiff are in no hurry to sell.
Leeds is the latest to harbour an interest in Dave Jones star striker according to sources but nothing official it is just another rumour. If the reports are true a £3million bid will be laugh right back to Leeds. Someone looking for a bargain, but I cannot see Leeds chairman Ken Bates parting with that sort of cash for a player. He likes buy of the cheap, free is better but looks for top prices when he selling like any good chairman should do.
