Yesterday it was Glasgow and today according to the BBC sport website in the ‘City of Love’ Rome for the soon to be ex-Cardiff City player Joe Ledley. He is over at Ronma checking out the facilities at the Italy club and to discuss a possible deal.
The word on the rumour mill is Celtic are favourites to capture is signature but maybe Roma can turn his head around because being totally disrespectful to the Scottish Premier League it’s no Premiership or Serie A or even Championship come to that . if I was in Ledley shoes and wait a move there would be only two teams out of the long list of rumoured interested parties I would go for, Everton or Roma.
Cardiff only hope of getting a pay date out of a Ledley move is for a Premier League club to up in with a sizeable offer. Could he be swayed to resign with the Bluebirds where there is a reported £20,000 a week offer on the table? Not sure what kind of contract the club has offered in the way of years, but a three deal with an option to listen to offer in the summer could be a winner. Another season with the Bluebirds could up his profile more and with guaranteed first team football something he might not get at a new club.
