I do know my spelling, grammar and punctuation is CRAP. I put it down to my lack of schooling preferring to mitch (truanting from school) rather than go to school. The joke is firmly on me now, which will bring a smile to any of my old English teachers.

Waiting on the fixtures

iI have not been this excited about the fixture in a long time I can’t wait to see them and get a feel for them. Why do well have to wait soon long they are done by computer ok they need to study them for clash, like Swansea and Cardiff both home playing either Millwall and Bristol City. Just think of that ... God that would be a day and a half for South Wales Police to cope with.

Beside Cardiff there is no really stand out teams in this Championship next season making it open season for the automatic promotion places.

First fixtures out will be the Carling Cup on Wednesday June 16th at 9,30am and fans will be pouncing on the media in search of the outcome of their team. Hull and Burnley will receive byes for the first round while Portsmouth and the rest of the league club are in the hat. Most fans would prefer a home tie the team in the lower leagues would like a visit from relegated Portsmouth. The games will commence on the week of the 9th August. Last season Cardiff reached the 3rd round going out Aston Villa 1-0 at Villa Park.

Next day June 17th at 10am it’s the big one the league fixture first change the league we not be the Coke Cola Championship after a new sponsors was found it will be Npower Championship after signing a three-year deal worth £21m. The season will kick-off official on Saturday 7th August and finish May 8th after 46 games are got out of the way.

Most Cardiff fans will be looking for that Swansea home and away fixture I will be looking for the Christmas fixture for me it’s always been a special time. The will be four game spaced over nine days, Boxing Day (Sun 26th Dec), Bank Holiday Tuesday (Dec 28th), New Years Day (Jan 1st) and Bank Holiday Monday (Jan 3rd). I can hear managers around the country complaining about to many games their precious players will be playing and we can expect to hear that old chestnut, Christmas break in there somewhere.

It a long wait for a FA Cup fixture December after the 2nd round and the Sunday's games will Cardiff enter the draw for the 3rd round on January 9th 2011. Last season Cardiff when on a bit of a run until Dave Jones boys hit the eventual winners Chelsea. They went on to lose 4-1 at Stamford Bridge in front of 6000 Cardiff fans.
