| Wanted Man |
It’s a case of out of the pan and into the fire today with Cardiff City boss Dave Jones linked with the manager’s job at Hull City.
He is rumoured to be on a three-man shortlist as the Hull chairman steps up his search for a new manager. Paul Hart remains the front-runner according to reports and they are also interested in ex-Coventry boss Gary Speed. If they do want to talk to Jones, Hull will have to make an official approach to Cardiff City. Jones recently committed himself to Cardiff City it would be real unlikely the new boardroom would agree to let Jones speak to the Humberside club. The Western Mail is suggesting Hull couldn’t match the wages which are bumper according to the paper.
Hull are looking for a new boss to take them straight back to the Premier League after suffering relegation last season. They might have the parachute payment but they have their finance troubles with a major need to reduce their wage bill. They have more debt than the Bluebirds and have yet to stable the ship.
