According to a report out of Malaysia Cardiff will have a new shirt sponsorship for next season Cosway which is part of the Berjaya group. Tan Sri Vincent Tan's his planning to expand his Cosway product to Europe and with a foot hold in Cardiff what is beneficial to the football club could be beneficial to Cardiff and South Wales as a whole.
With the shirt sponsorship possible sorted next up is the naming rights of the stadium fans may have grown to like the present name, Cardiff City Stadium or CCS. It was rumoured a Chinese company had expressed an interest in the rights.
Although Datuk Chan Tien Ghee is the chairman the real moneyman is Vincent Tan and he acquired the bulk of the 36% shares the Malaysian have.
Tan Sri Vincent Tan's said, "I'm trying to learn the business of football. It is quite interesting.
"I plan to put Cosway, our international business brand, on our players' jerseys.
"We are looking at how Cardiff and Cosway can work together. I look at the big picture,"
Fans are still waiting to hear the plans and future investment but the over-riding question is when the Taxman is going to be paid. The last time the club were in the High Court they received a 6 week adjournment until the middle of June it was expected the bill would be paid by now.
