| Ledley off to the Hoops |
Joe Ledley was given the treatment on a trip north of the border for talks with Celtic. He was given the VIP tour and was shown around the club's Lennoxtown training complex. It unclear if Ledley took the opportunity to talk to Rangers while in Glasgow has they have also expressed an interest in the Welshman.
This development must have Cardiff City boss Dave Jones worried has if he goes to a Scottish club Cardiff could lose out on a compensation payment which in turn could affect his transfer kitty for new players.
In the same paper the Scottish Sun they interview Warren Feeney who believes Ledley could walk into any Premier League team feeling he was destined for the Premiership. A move to Scotland to either of the old firm team would mean Champions League football which could be a deal breaker. Of the English teams link with Ledley all but Everton ply their trade in the lower half of the Premiership League table.
Feeney has experience of playing the Scottish Premier League two seasons back he spent a season long loan deal with Dundee United. If that was not enough he has to look no further than his team mates a number of which as experience of Scottish football at the top level.
Feeney told the Scottish Sun, "The idea shocks me to be honest because he's such a good player.
"That's not talking the league down because when I was in Scotland I played some of my best football, but Joe could walk into just about any Premier League side tomorrow.
"It wouldn't surprise me if that's still ultimately where he ends up because of his quality.
"Celtic would be getting a steal if they landed him.
"It would be a sickener for Cardiff to lose him for nothing but if Celtic is where he wants to go, there's not much they can do."
