| Destination Malaysia for the Bluebirds |
We have got one first team pre-season game at least after the FA of Malaysia agreed to allow Cardiff City to play a friendly match against the national team on July 17 at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur with a capacity of 87,000. Cardiff boss Dave Jones will be going to Malaysia this month to check out facilities and arrange one or two more games. There is another game City will take on Harimau Muda B (national Under-19) on July 15 it is unclear if this is a youth team game or a mix for the Cardiff City squad.
Playing in the backyard of the new owners will give them a chance to sell the club to business acquaintances it could be good business for Cardiff City. It will be interesting to see if local fans take an interest in the Welsh club because of the connection between the club and Malaysia.
With the tour all but sorted maybe some time could go into sorting out a few closer to home. I can’t see many Bluebirds making the trip and it’s a bit late for the supporters club to put on a coach to Kuala Lumpur and anyone thinking of a mega bus type trip missed the London to Australia OZ bus going via Kuala Lumpur.
