Dread times are here not because Joe Ledley is leaving here was always going but now he has been named boss at Celtic Neil Lennon has confirmed he is interested in Cardiff City midfielder Joe Ledley.
So far Celtic are the only team to come out say they would like to sign him and because they will have to paid no cash to Cardiff who will miss out on poetical millions in compensation.
Lennon said during his first news conference as official manager, "He is one that interests us.
"We have made inroads [in terms of bringing new players in] and we will get cracking on that as soon as today is finished."
Plenty of clubs have been linked with the Cardiff City midfielder Rangers plus Premier League clubs Everton, West Ham United, Blackburn Rovers Wigan Athletic and Stoke City all are rumours most a buy but not with Cardiff at the moment. Any Premiership clubs would have to paid compensation to Cardiff but they still would get them at a bargain price nowhere near his true value.
The rumours go beyond the shores of the UK with Italian giants Roma named as an interested party in signing the Welshman along with teams in Greece and Turkey.
Swindon have come out was a strong denied to the reports over Charlie Austin in today’s press. In the press (South Wales Echo) he was linked as a possible target has a replacement for Michael Chopra if he was to leave the South Wales club for Ipswich.
Talking to BBC Wiltshire chairman Andrew Fitton said, "I'm amused. I think someone should ask Charlie. It's a bad story put in by somebody who wants to unsettle the player."
Me thinks the chairman doth protest too much it only rumour mill time and he has a player of some note who will interest a few managers.
