| Heaton as a Bluebird |
Cardiff City is today linked with goalkeeper Tom Heaton who spent a season on loan with the Bluebirds for the 2008/09 season. He played some 24 games while with the Bluebirds with a varying degree of success and Cardiff City boss Dave Jones needs a back-up for No1 David Marshall.
Heaton has been released from his club Manchester United he is available free and Cardiff will have competition for his signature if the rumour is true. Last season United boss Alex Ferguson loan him out three times, a three month emergency loan deal at the start of the season.
Next he was off to Rochdale for a few months returning in January and was loaned out again this time to Wycombe Wanderers for the rest of the season. Before coming to Cardiff he had a loan spell with Swindon. He has never player for United in the first team.
If South Wales Echo are right he could be Dave Jones’ first signing.
