Forget Ipswich Chopra told

Russell Osman
In today's News of the World ex-Cardiff City player and manager Russell Osman is sending out a warning to Cardiff striker Michael Chopra about following his old boss to Ipswich. Osman reckons the City striker with be taking a big gamble if he was to join Ipswich.

Ipswich boss Roy Keane has been linked with Chopra for most of the closed season and it was being reported a week or so that they were close to signing the City striker. It turned out to be one of those never ending rumours however Cardiff new chief executive was quick to dismiss the rumour. The Bluebirds have no reason to sell is the massage coming out of the Cardiff City Stadium.

The rumour at Keane time could be up at Ipswich has been ongoing since the end of the season. He had a poor last season going from a lot of people favourites to be there and there about in the promotion fight but he and his team were embroiled in s battle at the other end of the table.

Talking to the paper he said “Ipswich are a big club and would be a great move for Chopra – but I’m not sure if now is the right time.

“Roy is obviously under pressure and it will get worse if he loses his opening few games.

“Chopra would move because of Keane’s influence so as a player you have to weigh up whether that would be wise.

“I think Roy will be in charge for a while but while Cardiff boss Dave Jones has credit in the bank, that’s not the case with Roy.”
