Ex- Cardiff City striker Warren Feeney who was released a few weeks ago could have found a new home with Bristol Rovers. Rovers have missing out on a few targets Rovers are once again taking a look at Feeney.
Feeney didn’t have to best of time with the Bluebirds he was farmed out on loan for most of the three years he was with Cardiff. Although he did manage to keep his place in the Northern Ireland squad and score goal wherever he end up. He did have chances to move on while on loan, Swansea was interested but an injury knocked that on the head. Next Dundee United where he spent a season on loan want him be the wages he was on at Cardiff scared them off. Leeds show interest but he fail their medical and need an operation to sort out the problem.
Last season after regaining is fitness he had a very short and unfruitful loan spell with Sheffield Wednesday it look like he would be off again Stockport County and Bournemouth were mentioned but boss Dave Jones decided to keep him for cover with no new signing to bolster his squad. Feeney when on to have his best period with Cardiff most from the bench but he never managed to score a goal for Cardiff.
The 29-year-old Northern Ireland striker has commented he would not want to up root his family from the Cardiff area and would favour a club within travelling distant of his home.
