| He is staying .... for now? |
The Bluebirds were quick to pour cold water on the rumour concerning Peter Whittingham and Burnley. Yesterday it was revealed in of some the national press that Burnley had or were about to pull in a offer £1.75 for the Cardiff midfielder.
If Cardiff were anyway interested in the offer from Championship rivals Burnley they would have to offer a lot more cash as the offer was way below the clubs valuation. Cardiff boss Dave Jones wants to add to his squad not to sell so far he has signed goalkeeper keeper Tom Heaton.
Burnley could be trying to unsettle Whittingham who only as a year left on the contract and is about to start negotiation on a new one. Jones would want to settle the transfer talks before the start of the season and not having ongoing like with Joe Ledley contract talks last season.
A number of players will see their contracts up for renewal some might be allowed to run their contracts down while others will need theirs sorted asp.
