First it was manager Dave Jones linked with now it is top scorer Peter Whittingham being linked with West Ham. The rumour about Cardiff's star midflielder came from the Daily Mail along with a few otther names as West Ham start to plan for next season. The talk of Dave Jones has the new manager of the East End club has subsided as other names are linked with the job.
Not much of a surprise really after his season a number of teams would be interested in giving him a look his goal have help Cardiff into the play-offs. The midfielder has a year left on his contract but everything depends on what the outcome of the investment, promotion and season ticket sales.
All the players have a price on their heads is a long term statement from the chairman and manager a stay in the Championship would surely see players leaving the club. Last summer chairman Peter Ridsdale said the club need to sell two players but only sold one asked no-one came in for Joe Ledley. If Cardiff do stay in the Championship Ledley will be gone, he is out of contract and free to find a new club in the summer
