For nearly the first time this season, well since the opening games of the season anyway Cardiff City boss Dave Jones will be spoiled for choice on the players’ for Saturday’s trip to QPR.
Jones’ season has been plighted with injuries and then there was the transfer embargo meaning he has been forced to run a threadbare first team with players only just recovering from injuries forced to play. Even Dave Jones strongest critics must put their hands on their hearts and say he has done a great job in getting us where we are today. This is two season on the trot he has steered the club into the play-offs and hopefully we will go one better than last season.
Of the players who pick up so niggles against Reading Chopra, Ledley and Etuhu are all expected to be fit. Defenders Hudson and Gyepes are ready for a return which will give Jones a headache with Gerrard and Blake forming a strong partnership in the centre of the defence. Cardiff boss Jones speaking to BBC Wales said, “We have injured players available again and that gives us options. They are a little bit fresher.
“It’s been a hard slog, but now we have big players back with us and regaining match fitness. That is going to be crucial.”
