There are two different takes on the story over the investment promised to Cardiff from Cardiff City director Dato Chan Tien Ghee. In the Wales on Sunday they take a positive line while in the News of the World their story talks of ‘hanging in the balance’ it is a paper always ready to but a dampener on a Cardiff City story. The famous source his talking of the talks between the club and the Malaysians are at a ‘delicate stage’ with TG flying in to discuss the £6 million investment. The source (who is now close to the board) told the paper, “Talks are at a very delicate stage. Every day and hour is vital if Cardiff City is to be saved.
“There are still some significant matters that need to be resolved. But the clock is ticking and there’s no other avenue to go down."
I could dwell on the negative of the story but no onward and upward I have even put all knowledge of the court case out of my mind until reading these articles.
The Wales on Sunday is a much better read for a City fan has they are reporting ‘TG’ will be in the country next week to finalise his investment in the club. He would have been here last week for meeting and to watch the final home game of the season against Sheffield Wednesday but for the volcanic ash cloud shutting down UK airspace.
With wages due and the court case on May 5, and input of cash would be highly welcome and there is hopefully be an extraordinary meeting of shareholders to be called next month to tick all the boxes so the deal can be completed.
